Remembering the victims of September 11

In the U.S. today began the weekend to commemorate the tenth anniversary of 11 September 2001 by paying tribute to all fallen in the fight against terrorism.


The commemoration begins on Saturday at 20:30 central european time with the arrival of the former President George W. Bush and current U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden in Shanksvil, Pennsylvania, where the plane crashed with 38 passengers including four terrorists. 


In New York the spotlight will be the firefighters who pulled people from the burning World Trade Center and lost 343 colleagues. The commemoration will begin at 20:00 central european time. 


The U.S. President Barack Obama on Sunday will visit the three places where the four planes crashed, and on Saturday he will stay in Washington with his wife Michelle Obama. 


In New York the police patrols are increased by 30 precent, searches of cars are increased also, they are doing unannounced searches of backpacks on the railway and undergrounds.

  10. i remember that day, was the best day of primary school ever.

    The teacher asked us all tomake little drama skits on the topic so my friends and i did one about a big conspiracy on how osama was colluding with bush.
